Please review the below guide to become familiar with your uniquely designed room which features excellent appliances and innovative technology. Front Desk Concierge – 24/7

Our team has intimate knowledge of what Detroit, and the surrounding areas have to offer. Please call the Front Desk Concierge for assistance with reservations, cultural recommendations, transportation, or anything else you may need to make you feel at home. Housekeeping

We offer weekly cleaning services for those staying 7 days or longer. For any additional needs, please contact the Front Desk for further assistance.

Laundry

Your room is equipped with a washer & dryer. We provide an in-room welcome starter kit equipped with detergent pods. If you use the detergent pods please place the pod directly into the drum.

We work with preferred vendors for any additional laundry and dry-cleaning needs, please contact the Front Desk for further assistance.

Thermostat

Your room is equipped with your own climate control. You can turn the temperature up to warm up your room or down to cool. Please feel free to contact the Front Desk for further assistance.

Wi-Fi

To connect to the internet: open your device Wi-Fi settings, choose “Roost Book Tower” network, select connect and enter your unique password provided inside your key packet.

TV

Our Smart TV’s offer DirectTV and access to your favorite streaming apps. You have 2 remotes in your room. The black remote controls your Smart TV & apps. The DirectTV remote controls your TV channels. Please remember to log out of your accounts before checking out.

Sonos

These are not Bluetooth speakers, instead, they operate on Wi-Fi. Once you’re connected to the internet, you can stream music from your device by clicking on the pair button on the back of the Sonos speaker. The speaker light will flash red. Select the Sonos device within your music app’s pairing device list. Once connected, the light should turn solid white. Just press play and enjoy!

Ice

Your room offers ice trays within your freezer.

Bike Share

Roost Detroit provides a complimentary bike share service. If you are interested in renting a bicycle through
us, please see the Front Desk for a rental agreement form.

Coffee Maker

Enjoy coffee each morning by making it fresh yourself in the comfort of your room. Place whole beans in the grinder canister and select the fineness or coarseness you prefer by rotating the canister until the red tick mark lines up with your selection. Rotate the dial below to the number of servings. The coffee will begin to grind. Place a filter in your coffee maker. Remove the ground coffee canister at the base of the grinder and empty the ground coffee into the filter. Fill the water tank and press the power button on the coffee machine to enjoy! There is also a full service coffee maker inside the 14th floor Terrace Club and on the Study on the 2nd floor.

In-Room Safe

To lock, enter 4-digit code & press Lock. To open, re-enter your 4-digit code. If you enter the incorrect combination, after 5 attempts the safe will lock you out. Please contact the Front Desk for assistance.

Indoor Plants

Our plants are nurtured by our florist partner bi-weekly, please do not water or move the live plants in your room.

Peace & Quiet

We understand the value of a good night’s sleep. That’s why your room is equipped with black out shades and property quiet hours begin at 10PM, rest easy!

Pets

We are pet friendly, please contact the Front Desk so we may register your pet and apply fee accordingly. There are several green spaces and pet friendly parks within walking distance of the Book Tower.

Smoking Policy

We are a 100% non-smoking property. Our smoking fine is $500.

Security

To ensure guest’s safety and security, the building doors are locked 8pm - 8am. To gain access, please scan your ROOST room key on the key encoder or intercom the Front Desk for further assistance.

Hotel Amenities

The Terrace Club is located on the 14th floor which features a coffee/espresso machine, lounge area, outdoor terrace, and barbeque grill.

The Study is on the 2nd floor, a shared working space that offers great views and fresh brewed coffee. The Study offers open seating, private offices and a conference room.

The Fitness Center is located on 2nd floor. This state of the art gym is equipped with Techno Gym equipment and offers great floor to ceiling views of downtown Detroit.

Trash Room

We offer conveniently located trash rooms on each floor. They are located near the hotel rooms ending in 01 & 10. We would also be happy to show you so please contact the Front Desk for further assistance.
